Many Music Lovers in the "second tier" music industry have composed great songs which have never had any exposure to a wider audience with probable larger sales of a recording by themselves and perhaps subsequent recordings by other artists without significantly changing the style and content of the composition. All aspire we expect for their songs to generate significant income but we suggest that many of their approaches to publishing companies slip the net because publishing companies see so much and simply cannot nor want to take everything on. The “Proper Tunes” approach allows all composers to publish their songs online in a style they created and to reach a public of all ages who we suggest yearn for proper tunes.

The second tier music industry has grown enormously in recent years with many more venues offering live music, many very talented bands and individuals performing at a high level, the emergence of tribute bands and websites such as Lemon Rock (www.lemonrock.com) providing daily detail. Music Lovers who are now in their forties to eighties grew up with post war popular music and are familiar with the whole era and in particular the sixties era where the creative ability of the composers in young bands was encouraged and so many great tunes were composed and released as singles or on albums. This continued in the seventies, eighties and early to mid-nineties when it started to change.

It is significant how many young Music Lovers are clearly knowledgeable of and enjoy so many of the iconic tunes from the sixties to the nineties. There is no doubt that there are many unpublished songs of great quality but which have slipped the net for many reasons.
